South Route - La Francesa Beach

La Graciosa, a small paradise in the Canary archipelago, offers cycling enthusiasts a unique experience. A particularly captivating route is the approximately 3 kilometers that connects Caleta de Sebo, the lively entry port to the island, with the idyllic Playa de la Francesa. This short yet exciting ride combines the adventure of cycling with the natural beauty of this islet.

Departing from Caleta de Sebo, cyclists immerse themselves in the vastness and solitude of La Graciosa. The path follows the coastline, providing stunning panoramic views as you progress.

Similar to the hiking trail, this route runs parallel to the coastline until reaching La Lagunita and La Baja de la Peña, where the trail slightly diverts to ease the crossing of stagnant waters. These points offer an opportunity to stop and enjoy the island's unique natural surroundings.

The route continues to Punta de la Herradura, where there is a designated area for parking bicycles. From here, you must continue on foot to Playa de la Francesa, as this is the final point for transport vehicles. The short walk provides a perfect transition to relaxation on the beach.

Once at Playa de la Francesa, cyclists can relax and enjoy the serenity offered by this beach with fine sand and crystal-clear waters. It is the perfect place to disconnect from the world and appreciate the natural beauty of La Graciosa.

The only issue with the route lies in the accumulated sand in certain sections that requires walking with the bicycle for a few meters.

Exploring La Graciosa by bike is an unforgettable experience that combines the excitement of cycling with the island's natural beauty. From the stunning landscapes to the tranquility of the beach, every moment on this route offers an opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy outdoor adventure.
